This generally works for me against King+ AI. I'll work on promoting my Cavalry into Knights and when late game rolls around I'll build nothing but Cavalry and Priests. Once Mid game rolls around I'll do 2 Priest, 2 Pikemen, 2 Cavalry or 1 Cav and 1 Hero. For example, if I'm Humans, I'll roll 2 Archer, 2 Swordsmen, 1 Priest and Hero for my conventional Armies late early game.

I also love, love to have mixed cheap armies of T2s and T3s over T4s. The tough battles that I'd probably lose to Auto-Battle I'll manually play and do my best to mitigate damage taken. Personally, I Auto-Battle 90% of the time since it's just sooo much faster. Ultimately it largely depends on how you play. Often times a single stack with a strong Hero will instantly win without casualties. I usually play Sorcerer so I'll just spam Eldritch Horrors and just Auto-Battle -> Victory everything. Basically spammed T4 or Gold Medal T3/2s. I'll usually have ~2-3 other Armies that I'll either use offensively or defensively, partrolling my borders.ģ. Typically I'll Doomstack with my Leader or a strong Hero. If Upkeep isn't an issue then 2 Archer, 2 Support, 2 Pikemen.Ģ. I normally leave 1 Archer, 1 Support, 1 Pikeman unit to garrison my Cities if I want to keep upkeep low. I dont have infinite gold/mana and i am not sure to what to leave to defend citys and how to go about conquest, do i just spam IV units or try to mix IV, III and II units together in my armys.įirst and foremost it largely depends on the map settings and whether it's Singleplayer or Multiplayer.ġ. I am just fine with early to mid game where nobody has tier IV and massive empires, but once everyone has huge empires i get overwhelmed. Like the number of units and what tier, do you just spam tier IV and fight with that or mix weaker units with strong ones and just have massive armys like 3 stacks of 6 units or more. What does ur late game main army usually conist of. Do you roam the map with with 1 death stack being your main army or do you spread youself around.ģ. What units and how many units do you usually leave in your citys.Ģ. When i say army i dont mean my entire millitary but like a stack of 6 units (or more if i ALWAYS keep them close to each other so if a fight breaks out i will always have 12 units on the field).ġ. I am talking about late game when you already have IV units and a large empire.
